I have not been updating my blog since January, been real busy with school and all... Final sem, enuff said... Just too much on the line ay..? Clearing my exams, final year project and presentation... Hectic times, desperate times, nostalgic times... Here's what's been happening in the past 5 months:

A trip to Bukom island, courtesy of Najib and his dad... A huge outing with the guys of the graduating batch... A great outing, I'd say... The last outing before hitting the books for exams, crunch time!

While waiting for the rest to come, Syahid introduces poker to the guys... I must say, he opened a Pandora's box... Cos these guys were hooked!

That's what's been happening the last 5 months of my life... Some things come and go... Some things tend to stay in your memories, others don't... Sacrifices were made, time organised... Hopefully, if all goes well, it's the end of our 4 years in NTU... And the end of our lives as students... Time to work guys... The future is bright... Careers to build, families to start... Syahid is getting married at the end of June, congrats to him and Renee... Those of us who have gotten jobs, it's time to contribute to the world and our families... Those who have not, we pray you'll get good jobs soon... It's the start of our working life guys, what we have worked for all the time... This is it... Before we know it, convocation would have passed... Some things will be forgotten eventually... But my time with you guys will remain a memory till I draw my last breath... Here's to our voyage into life's unknowns... All the best guys!

It's New Year's Eve and poolside gathering with the brothers and their WAGS. Location was at Nigel's! Potluck and there was too much food la! CANNOT finish, even with Casey's "help"!

The attire for the party was anything Raffles. Be it PE shirt or tie... Haha... Nigel's in shades, cos the New Year's too bright for him to welcome without.

Ay? I'm Here!

I do apologise for the long hiatus, been busy having as much fun as I possibly could since the exams concluded. And Noh, next year is not that far off... But since I'm nice, here are some of the pics taken in the last 2 weeks that I went missing.

The brothers had a group movie outing, most could make it and brought their dates should they choose to. Others like Nigel and Nick were in India. Gopi went home cos he was "tired". We had soccer earlier in the day. So to the Grand Cathay it was!

While awaiting the movie, we had dinner with the WAGS and then chilled at Starbucks, drinking (surprise, surprise) coffee and played Murderer. Had tonnes of fun and tonnes of dirty looks shot at us from patrons who were there to enjoy a quiet evening. But, then all we can say is, "They feel huats..."

So let's start the Nicest Couple-Of-The-Evening Picture Competition. First up, Noh and his friend, Jess. And Jess and her friend, Noh. Jess works at Tumble Tots (hope I got that right) and Noh works at a firestation. Heh...

Next, Faizal and Reeza. Faizal is tired. Reeza is not. Reeza smiles for the cam, but Faizal did not. So low points. Boo...

Casey and Mala. Both looked away from the cam, so no points for them. Casey and Mala were nice enough to join us for dinner and chill session at Starbucks although they were both on call the next day. They're both docs, see?

Last but not least, Imran and Bear (Muthu did not want any part of this). They're so sweet together. Notice the healthy distance between the 2, teasing the crowd, the sheepish smile and lecherous grin. After the movie that night, Bear has a new nickname, Ulrick, I think, the name of the Armoured Ice Bear in The Golden Compass.

Looking forlorn due to mistakes of the cinema people. It left such a bitter taste in our mouths that only 2 free movie tickets each and loads of free food can help relieve the bad experience. Heh...

Then on other days, go out with the missus. Trying on some winter clothes. Heh... It's the monsoon season in Singapore baby, but no snow yet... WE SHALL WAIT!

Like I said, it's the monsoon season. I loike~! I rather it be cold than hot cos if it's hot, I'll sweat and it'll be so uncomfortable.

I couldn't take a clear pic cos I was in Alfi's car enroute to Peninsula Plaza to play Generals. But the top floors of the skyscrapers were covered by the heavy clouds. Looks nice...

Then chill many times at Arab Street. Same old places but we feel real cosy there. Haroon's Cafe AH! Cb, knn...

Then back to school. Yes, well, FYP has started. What to do... Since there's no one else in school except for the Year 4s, it's pretty deserted. Good for picture taking! This shot is symbolic of how close I am to finishing my course, so close, just that bit more! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! Please God, let it be over soon...

Brotherly Love

I'm taking a break from studying and one thing that I miss is Saturday soccers and my brothers. I miss my brothers. Some of these guys have been a part of my life since I was 15, others go further back, way back (no matter how gay it sounds, haha). That's almost 10 years now, come January 2008, a decade of madness, laughter and all that jazz... It's funny how we've been together for this long but only fairly recently everyone seems to gel, especially after the heart-to-heart talks we had at the top of Mount Faber. We rip on each other all the time but 1 thing I've realised is how we know we have each other to fall back on. Most of us were from the same class in Sec 3 and 4 in RI. Well, let's reminisce on each one of my brothers, in alphabetical order:

1. Casey
   Casey is now a Doc. He joined the class a tad later with Gopi for reasons only we will know, heh... He uses expletives a lot last time and wah knn mood like fuck... Haha... Casey's fave teacher was Mrs Yau Pooi Har... Nowadays, he's been busy with work so hardly join us cos he damn tired from work.
   
2. Faizal
   Faizal is a regular with the SAF now. Not surprising cos he's from NCC last time, heh... He will soon have a degree in Civil Engineering. He's one of my closest brothers, especially with all the shit we went through last time, and someone I can depend on to give me practical advice. We had a rough start on our friendship in Sec 3 due to some stuff... Haha...
   
3. Gopi
   Gopi is getting a degree in SIM. Gopi is not like any typical Indian. The first time I knew him, I think I may have offended him by asking which school he was from. Haha... Let's not dwell more on that. Gopi likes hockey and soccer. He's a fellow Manchester United fan, along with Nigel, Muthu, Faizal and Noh...
   
4. Imran
   Imran is doing the same course as me. I knew him since Sec 1 but only became close friends at the end of Sec 2, that's 11 years this year. He's the brother I never had and we practically grew up together, going through the various phases in life, all the stupid things, all the reflections. We have a lot in common and we're so close that we can tell each other off. We've had our differences but all that is part of our growing up.
   
5. Mervyn
   Mervyn is a future vet. He is now in Australia earning his animal doctorate, sorta... Heh... He'll be back soon. We were not that close in Sec school, he was closer to Ian and Sam. But soccer and other similarities got us all close after NS... And he's damn horny, heh...
   
6. Muthu
   Muthu is not an Indian, he's just a Chinese with an Indian nickname. He wasn't from our class but it doesn't matter. What matters is he's one of us now. He's a lifescience graduate and he's working with some zebra fish now. The zebra fish is a fish that looks like a zebra but it can talk to him. Probably that's why he finds them interesting. HEH! Kidding bro... Anyway, Muthu is one of the most accommodating person I know. Can relek with him, shop or watch movie, haha... But it's the truth!
   
7. Nick
   Nick is a future lawyer. He is a Liverpool fan and has a bad knee, whatever assumptions you can make out of that. Nick was one of my clubbing kakis last time and he sure can hold his liquor until the Graveyard buried him. Haha... He was in the same camp as me in NS and I still remember the time I had a scalpel to his neck, trying to remove the stitches on his chin, haha... The scared look on his face was priceless... He's one of those brothers who can give a sound advice.
   
8. Nigel
   Nigel was our class monitor, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... It's like he was a policeman and if we killed someone, we'd literally get away with murder... Haha... Nigel, just like Nick, is a future lawyer. Imagine the 2 of them in court, "Your Honour, the defence counsel is trying to be funny, hur hur...", "Nigel your client feels huat!"... Other than being our monitor, Nigel was the fittest guy in class, and that was what he kept screaming when we were stripping him for his birthday in Sec 4. We chill out at his place a lot and for that we thank him and his family for putting up with a rowdy bunch.
   
9. Noh
   Noh is a "fireman". He is! He really is a "fireman"! Why won't u believe me? Anyway, he was always the street smart one, and still is. I know him since Primary 4, when we were 10, that's 14 years now! He's someone I can go to if I have a problem and we basically tell each other everything. Noh is one of my closest brothers, just like Faizal. We haven't watched a movie together since the Star Wars incident in Sec 4. Haha, that's nostalgic in a fucked up way... Haha... I love this brother of mine... Haha...
   
10. Weijie
    Weijie is a bear getting a degree in business. He probably gets ripped on the most but he scores an average of 2 goals. Weijie is a good brother cos I know he can be there for me if I need him. Noh burnt his hair before in class and he was oblivious to it. That was in the past, we're all more mature than that now... Hahahahahaha, errrr, maybe... Weijie is actually quite mature and probably knows more about what he wants in life than any of us... He's also a walking soccernet and poker face... Heh...

Well, those are the brothers, a formal introduction... Back to studying, FOR MY LAST PAPER!
